Why Should Tom Hiddleston Play the Joker?

For those of you unfamiliar, Tom Hiddleston plays Loki in the Marvel franchise films. I have actively scoured the internet in plans to lay the seeds for DC to realize not only is her a perfect villain, he's absolutely perfect for the reintroduction of the Joker.

With the loss of Heath Ledger a few years back and his stunning performance as the clown prince of crime, most of us Batman fans thought we would never get another Joker on screen. With the franchise being rebooted (again) with the Batman Superman movie, there is hope, and Tom is our man to terrify us while we laugh till we cry.

Below you'll find one of my favorite pieces of fanart that supports my desperation to have this be a real thing.

Beyond the fact that I think his transformative and expressive face would take to the make up well (which is actually harder than you think, in being a clown myself I've had a lot of experience, but mostly it boils down to larger features work best in the makeup) but it's also his acting prowess that I think the Joker needs. The joker is a layered onion of a villain and being trained in the classics of theatre and Shakespeare....Tom I think could bring that to the big screen.

Though, we would need to work on his evil laugh.

Shakespeare lover? Check out Tom performing from Henry the 5th. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5lhfKUFNN8
